The Learning Zone *
Use the Learning Zone as a means to find and register for classes and salary point credit classes to improve your content knowledge, teaching skills, and integration of instructional technology. The Learning Zone is accessed from "Inside LAUSD"*. After loggin in, you may want to view an animated Powerpoint with voice-over that details the process to search, select, and sign up for classes you are interested in taking.

Get an InsideLAUSD login account.

To get to Learning Zone after you get an account:
a. LAUSD homepage
b. Employees (left column)
c. InsideLAUSD (left column)
d. Learning Zone (lower right column)
e. Log in (if here is a password problem - reset it)

You can enroll in a class after logging into the Learning Zone and doing the following:
1) Click on Courses
2) Click on View Class Offerings
3) Selecting an area of need or interest to you from the pull-down menu under “Program” such as “Information Technology Training Branch” or "Any".
4) Click on Search.
5) Use the selection functions to browse classes in areas of your interest.
6) Enroll using the orange "Enroll Now" button at the bottom of the screen.
7) You will get an e-mail acknowledgement. You can also print the class information with a PRINT command at the top of the popup page.

*A potential issue with new employees trying to get accounts exists because employee numbers may not be in the Learning Zone database. This issue will be resolved by weekly database updates. Generally, employee numbers with starting with "7x,xxx" are affected.
