Meal Programs

Through the Los Angeles Unified School District, Colfax participates in the National School Lunch Program. The United States Department of Agriculture determines nutritional standards and school meals are planned to meet or exceed these standards. Parents will receive information and an application concerning the free or reduced price breakfast and lunch program for students. After returning the completed forms, parents will be notified if their child qualifies to participate in the Federal meal program. Eligibility is based on a scale of family income. Information is always kept confidential.

Students who bring their lunch can buy milk or orange juice and during nutrition breaks various items may be purchased from the Cafeteria.
