PURPOSE

The exit movement will allow students a safe and civil environment for exiting the school.

RESPONSIBILITY

The student will go to the designated exit or directly to the After School Program..

The teacher will stand at their door to monitor student travel.

The administrators and supervision staff will be in their predetermined supervision areas to monitor students and/or out of school adults.

PROCEDURE

1. After the final school day bell and teacher dismissal, students will walk to the designated exit.
2. Sixth grade students will exit through the 122nd Street gate near the bungalow classrooms.
3. Seventh and eighth grade students will exit at the front of the school. Students use the front (Wester Ave.) gate or the 122nd St. gate in the hallway between the library and the Dean's office.
4. A student attending the After School Program will go directly to the designated site.

IMPLEMENTATION

PRIDE Team members will discuss and show the staff the exit movement during the Buy Back and/or Pupil Free Days.

Teachers will discuss and show their students the exit movement by walking with their students during the first week of school.
