Welcome to our Wonder of Reading Library!

Broad Avenue Elementary School in collaboration with Wonder of Reading and Conocco Phillips Refinery had a new library built in 1999 for the students and staff at Broad Avenue. The Broad Avenue Libray is a great resourse for everyone to enjoy!

The library is open from 7:30 AM to 5:00 PM Monday through Friday. The Polar Bear Reading Club meets every morning from 7:30-8:15 to improve their reading skills. Students have the opportunity to win many gifts and prizes according to the amount of books they read!

Monday through Friday classrooms visit and rotate on 30 minute blocks each week. All of our students and staff check out books and they are able do much needed research online and throughout the library. We are a library which provides excellent resources for our students and staff such as the latest in technology and Internet access. We are continuously upgrading our print, video, and on-line resources to meet the needs of our students and staff.

What was this book about? It's about bravery, not being scared of anything. It makes me feel brave and gives me courage and I know "life doesn't frighten me at all!"

What did you like most about this book? What I like mostly about this book is that it is a beautiful book. The poems and art are beautiful.

Is this your favorite book? It is my favorite book because my favorite poem is in that book called "I Go Boo!".
