A message from the principal of…
“Where
Learning Takes Flight”
First of all, I wish to thank you for visiting our school web page. At Blythe, students come first and we strive to consistently work at creating a safe and nurturing environment where kids can grow and become successful. Maintaining a safe campus is my top priority. Blythe Elementary operates under our Safe School Plan, a plan designed to keep students safe under any and all circumstances. When school is in session, all visitors must enter campus through the office, sign in, and obtain a visitor’s badge. Visitors must also have permission from me, the principal, to enter the campus during instructional hours. It is important that interruptions to the instructional program be minimal to allow teachers to teach and students to learn.
Academic achievement is my second priority. All students deserve the very best instruction possible. Our teachers present a standards-based instructional model based on the California State Standards. Periodic assessments are conducted regularly to give teachers, coaches, and administrators achievement data on students which allow us to accurately pinpoint each student’s strengths and weaknesses. This way our teachers are able to differentiate their instruction to meet the individual needs of each student. Student achievement is essential here at Blythe! We are committed to do whatever it takes for our students to be successful!
Parents are our valuable resource. Without
parents, our job would be impossible. We encourage parent participation in all
school activities. These activities include: classroom volunteer, parent
council member, parent council officer, PTA member, PTA officer, and parent
center volunteer. We also offer adult ESL classes for parents to improve their
English. Adult education classes are offered free of charge to any parent or
community member of
